    Let’s be honest here. There are times when most of us struggle to keep our desks tidy. Folders, files, sticky notes, even half empty coffee cups from the vending machine and forgotten fast food wrappers--sometimes it’s as if these inanimate objects have formed a conspiracy against us. A conspiracy to make us look unprofessional at best, and downright sloppy at worst. But research has found that a messy desk is not necessarily a bad thing. Of course, there’s a lot to be said for the spartan efficiency of the clean and tidy workspace of the irritatingly well-organised colleague across the hall, but either way, the state of our desks says a lot more about our personality than we might think.
